Big Moon

I bet everybody thought about to get to the moon, to touch the moon at some point in their lifes.
The moon makes the world go round. Literally, because if there was no moon, the earth would lurch. The moon is responsibles for the tides and the moon is sometimes the last companion, when you walk home. The Outer Space Treaty places the Moon under the same jurisdiction as international waters. Means, even if there are American and Russian flags on it, nobody claims ownership of the moon these days.
The moon plays an important role in our world. Couples make their first kiss in the moonlight, flowers just bloom in a full moon and some people cut their hair in a full moon, that it grows better.
If you like the moon the tonight you should look to the sky. When the sky is clear go out after sunset and look for the giant moon rising in the east. It will be the biggest and brightest one of 2009! January 10, the moon will be at the closest point to the earth. According to the NASA, the moon will appear about 14 percent bigger in our sky and 30 percent brighter than some other full moons during 2009.
So don't miss that spectacle. Because this might be the closest you'll get to the moon.
PS. Did I mention, that I have a friend who used to put cheese on her balcony, that the moon gets full...
